Minlaton Uniting Church is made up of a variety of people of all ages brought together by their desire to worship God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
our pastor and elders
Rob Morgan (pastor)
Rob is the pastor of the Southern Yorke Peninsula parish of the Uniting Church, including Minlaton. He is a pastor, father, husband, but most importantly, a child of God & disciple of Jesus. Rob has a passion for connecting people to the living Jesus and a desire to see all people engaged in God’s mission.
Mark is the husband of Deb, father of one, and fisher of many fish, as well as being a farmer. He has a heart for the youth of the church, which has shown in years of running or supervising youth ministries.
Pete Burford (elder)
Pete is the husband of Alex and they have two grown daughters. He has worked as a Social Worker for the past 27 years. He likes lots of things and so has lots of hobbies that change with seasons (eg at the moment, playing music, postie bike riding, surfing). Pete has always loved a good laugh with friends and family. Knowing Jesus more (in heart and head) and sharing him with others is something that is most important to him. Jesus is the only one that makes sense in the joy and pain of life!
Phil Cook (elder)
Phil is the husband of Shelly, has five grown children, more grandchildren than he knows what to do with, and is a farmer to boot. He has a passion for the faithful preaching of the word of God.
Don Sims (elder)
Don is the husband of Sally. They have four children and ten (including three step) grandchildren. Aside from being an elder of the church, he is also regularly involved with Kairos prison ministries at Pt Augusta. His occupation as a farmer (now retired) gave him many self taught skills that he uses around the church and in the community. He enjoys being a helper, getting to meet others, gardening, fishing and travel.
In addition to Phil, Don, Mark and Rob, church council is made up of these members: Deb Anderson, Carlene Cook, Shelly Cook, Sarah McIntosh, Robyn Redding, Sally Sims, Anita Treasure and Joyce Yeomans.
